Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr Herve Ouanezar, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in the management of sports-related knee injuries. After graduating at the top of his class at Claude Bernard University Medical School, he completed a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Hospices Civils University Hospital in Lyon, France.
He then completed three world-renowned fellowships in Sports Medicine and Knee Surgery, including one at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery - FIFA Medical Center of Excellence in New York, USA.
During his training, Dr Ouanezar served as team physician, treating amateur and professional athletes in a variety of sports with excellent outcomes. He has a special interest in sports-related injuries in football players.
Dr Ouanezar holds the FIFA Medical Diploma and is enrolled in the International Olympic Committee Diploma. His clinical interests include anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, meniscus tears and their management (including meniscal repair and meniscus transplantation), complex multi-ligament knee injuries, patellofemoral pain and instability, and cartilage restoration procedures.
Consultant Spinal Surgeon
Dr Sherief Elsayed is a dedicated Consultant Spinal Surgeon, exclusively treating conditions that affect the Spine.
Having undertaken all of his training in the United Kingdom, he subsequently practised as a Consultant Spinal Surgeon both in the National Health Service and in the private sector. He continues to practice at the prestigious Princess Grace Hospital in London.
Dr Sherief Elsayed is one of a very limited number of surgeons world-wide trained in the use of Robot-assisted Spine Surgery.
He is an active researcher and his research to date has been cited almost 500 times in the medical literature.
Dr Sherief Elsayed has also served on the British Association of Spine Surgeons’ (BASS) Executive Committee and recently hosted the BASS 2019 Conference. For his various efforts Dr Sherief Elsayed has been made an Ambassador for both the cities of Nottingham and Brighton in the United Kingdom, amongst numerous other awards.

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist - Sports Medicine Specialist
Dr Dejan Jovanovic is a non-surgical Sports Medicine Specialist and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist with extensive local and international experience in both the clinical application of Sports Medicine and on-field participation with professional athletes from Serbia and the UAE.
The first non-surgical Sports Medicine Specialist licensed in the UAE, Dr Jovanovic was active in the development of evidence-based and field-applied Sports Medicine in the UAE.
Head of Sport and Human Performance
Dr Jennifer Walsh is an expert in Biomechanics as applied in both a clinical and sports setting. With over 8 years of experience within the NHS, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. She worked in a Rehabilitation Gait Lab assessing patients and guiding treatment options with a variety of clinicians including Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons, Neurologists and Physiotherapists.
Her previous work involved motion analysis in rugby and golf. She has a strong academic background and she conducts research and lectures at universities. Dr Walsh has designed bespoke wheelchairs and special seating devices for patients.
She has received awards for her patient care and her passion for her work.
Daniel Demkiewicz is a Senior Physiotherapist, a motor function coach, a bodybuilding instructor, a personal trainer, and a former player and coach of Kendo, Iaido and Jodo. His sports medicine experience includes work with orthopaedic patients, athletes and people who want to improve their athletic performance. He also researches the causes and prevention of sports injuries.
Mr Demkiewicz’s specialties include physiotherapy, manual therapy, orthopaedics, physiotherapy and evidence-based medicine, sports therapy, sports performance, athletic training, dry needle, chiropractic, and strength and conditioning.
A registered physiotherapist in the UAE, Zahra Shirazi has more than 8 years of clinical experience. She received her Master’s in Musculoskeletal Sciences with honours from SNDT Women’s University in Mumbai, India and her Bachelor’s of Health Sciences from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in India.
Ms Shirazi’s clinical experience is in the treatment of musculoskeletal and sports injuries. Her clinical practise involves a combination of manual therapy, muscle/motor control retraining and specific exercise prescription. She has completed extensive international post-graduate courses through Club Physio in South Africa, the Neuro-Orthopaedic Institute in Australia and Myopain Seminars in the US.
Ms Shirazi’s areas of expertise include manual therapy, spinal manipulation, musculoskeletal conditions, the rehabilitation and prevention of sports injuries, dry needling, Hijamah (dry and wet cupping),
kinesiology taping, sports taping and acute in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation.
A licensed Physiotherapist specialised in orthopaedics and traumatology, Vesela Vasileva received her Master’s in orthopaedic and traumatology science with honours from the National Sport Academy of Bulgaria.
Ms Vasileva has more than 4 years of clinical experience treating patients with neurological conditions, post-op orthopaedic conditions and post-op rehabilitation of cervical, thoracic and lumbar injuries and sports injuries in professional and amateur athletes.
Her practice includes manual therapy, customised kinesiotherapy exercise programs and electro-therapy modalities.
Dr. Naveed is a Specialist Cardiologist. He has a total of 14 years of experience in Internal Medicine and 9 years of experience in Cardiology. Dr Naveed has served as a Cardiologist at Mayo hospital, which is the largest hospital of Southeast Asia with multi specialties.
Before relocating to Dubai, Dr Naveed worked with Seychelles Hospital, Health Care Agency. He was in- charge of revamping the Cardiology Unit, a system initiated by SEHA, Abu Dhabi. He developed a well organised Cardiology Unit with a team of two Cardiologist, Medical Officers and Nurses.
