Frank Lampard Helps Unveil New Cutting Edge Health Assessment Facility in Dubai
nanoM – a state-of-the-art health assessment clinic, has today been officially opened at a ceremony attended by former international footballer, and nanoM ambassador, Frank Lampard.
Located at The Golden Mile Galleria on Palm Jumeirah – Dubai’s most exclusive destination – nanoM is an Emirates Healthcare company, and was developed in a bid to provide individuals with a whole new standard of health and fitness assessment.
Targeted predominantly at the world of professional soccer and other sports, the 17,000 sq ft facility is the first of its kind in the world and offers comprehensive analysis of individuals’ health, fitness, body functionality and physical performance capabilities.
Throughout his decorated soccer career, Lampard was regarded as one of the sport’s all-time greats and remained at the heart of Chelsea football club’s midfield for over a decade. Lampard’s professionalism, commitment to the sport and unwavering work ethic, meanwhile, ensured that he stayed virtually injury free throughout his career, which included a record run of 164 consecutive Premier League appearances.
Lampard today announced his partnership with nanoM, a move which will see the player-turned-pundit work alongside nanoM’s team of world class experts to showcase a whole host of health assessment technologies, now available to players involved in the modern game.
At today’s event, Lampard was pictured with Yazen Abu Gulal, Chairman of Emirates Healthcare, as the pair officially announced the opening of the facility.
Frank Lampard said: “I’m happy to be here today to help officially open nanoM. I’m really impressed with the facility, and with the standard of technology in place and medical expertise on offer.
“Going back ten years, this is the kind of facility that I would have loved to have access to. To have everything here, under one roof, is so unique and it means you don’t need to visit multiple clinics, and see multiple doctors and surgeons, for different issues.
“This is exactly the kind of facility that players today will really benefit from, especially when you consider that the technology they have here can help to pinpoint potential issues before you even know about them. That’s something that could genuinely have a big impact on how players detect and respond to injuries, which can only be a good thing.
“I think this is the future”.
Inside nanoM is a state-of-the-art Sports and Human Performance Laboratory, which features technology including comprehensive cardio-metabolic and muscle activation testing, 3D posture and motion analysis, functional agility assessments, and hand-eye co-ordination tests.
As well as assessing the existing injuries of former and current athletes, the technology housed inside nanoM is also capable of detecting underlying medical conditions that could arise in the future.
Yazen Abu Gulal, Chairman of Emirates Healthcare, said: “We are delighted to welcome nanoM as an Emirates Healthcare company. Both the medical expertise on offer and the technology that has been put in place are truly world class, making nanoM the perfect addition to the Emirates Healthcare group.
“Like us, nanoM prioritises the health and wellbeing of its patients. We look forward to working with the team to welcome clients from all over the world into the clinic to see for themselves what a truly unique, cutting edge facility this really is.”
CEO of nanoM, Dr Bikram J Singh, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Frank, who remains without doubt one of the most successful and highly regarded sportsmen of our generation. We believe there is a clear synergy between what we at nanoM are seeking to achieve and all that Frank stands for, and we look forward to working together to showcase the world class technology and expertise that is available to current and former athletes just like him.”
To launch the partnership, Lampard himself has also undergone a range of extensive medical, dental and physical performance related tests within the facility, all in a bid to learn more about his own health, fitness and performance capabilities.
